To be successful you will need; Hold a degree or HND / HNC level in an Earth Science subject or Engineering or appropriate discipline or able to demonstrate suitable experience for the role.

About The Role You will be managing a portfolio of hazards, enquiries and subsidence projects in Scotland as part of a team providing expert advice and creative solutions to manage public safety and environmental issues associated with coal mining.
The Coal Authority's Public Safety and Subsidence Team manage over 1000 new projects every year relating to the historic liabilities of the Coal Mining industry throughout the UK.
You will ensure that all projects and fieldworks are economically, efficiently and effectively managed and all statutory obligations are discharged, working with an internal project team and external contractors.
This role is located in the central belt of Scotland and we would require someone who lives in this area.
Due to the locations of our sites a full driving license is essential and some flexibility to travel/work nationally at times.
We don't expect candidates to meet every single desired qualification.
