Job summary Are you an experienced administrator looking to take the next step in your career?Would you like to play a part in helping to improve the mental health of children and young people in Buckinghamshire?If so, we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and well-organised individual to join our Buckinghamshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Single Point of Access team.This is an administrative role where you'll be working alongside administrative and clinical staff, processing referrals, dealing with confidential and sensitive information, taking calls and formatting and sending correspondence to young people and families across Buckinghamshire.
Main duties of the job SPA serves as the "front door" to Buckinghamshire CAMHS, so you will have excellent communication skills to liaise with parents, professionals and young people about incoming referrals.We are passionate about delivering high quality, timely treatment and advice to young people and their families.
You will gather and input data from new referrals in order to support SPA to continue to deliver and improve this care.The team receives, at times, a high volume of requests and referrals, so a successful candidate will be solution-focused, calm, kind and responsible, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Outlook and MS Teams.You will work from our office at the Sue Nichols Centre in Aylesbury.

Please Note: Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study.

Person Specification Knowledge/Experience Essential Skilled in MS Office, including Outlook/Excel/Word and MS Teams Previous administrative experience Skills liaising with outside agencies and professionals Desirable Ability to manage and prioritise own workload Previous NHS experience Academic Essential IT skills to NVQ level 3 or equivalent English GCSE or equivalent Desirable A Level or above Other requirements Essential Able to work with limited supervision Understanding and maintaining confidentiality Organised and efficient
