Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Care co-ordinator/Receptionist.We are looking for someone who is lively and bubbly with a can-do attitude and are used to working in a high pressured environment.
With care being the forefront of your mind.Experienced as a Care co-ordinator/Receptionistin the NHS, in General Practice with EMIS experience is desirable, but not essential.
*please see job specification and job descriptionRate of pay £13/hr which will we increase to £ on completion of a successful Probation.Full time permanent / hours over 5 days over the full 7 day week.Must be flexible with hours and days.Practice opening hours is between - 18:30pmWe are located in Deptford/New Cross, 2 min walk from New Cross Train Station.Our practice has an expanding population; current list size: 15800 patients.We are a training practice and offer additional services to:Rough Sleepers Goldsmiths Students Drug and AlcoholWe are unique as we offer out of area registrations to any patient within England, so wherever you are in England, a patient can register with us.We have an open door policy and accept any person regardless of gender identity, Trans status, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion or ageWe are a Gold standard practice for the LGBTQ+ community.
Main duties of the job You'll be working along the side of a friendly team of;13 Receptionists/Administrators1 Reception Manager1 Operations Manager10 GPs2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners5 Nurses1 Paramedic1 Health Care Assistant1 Clinical Pharmacist1 Trainee GPThe main duties will involve receptionist work with some administration such as DOCMAN and QOF.Not only will you deal with admin and patients, you will have targeted areas to help achieve big results, such as QOF.

Job description Job responsibilities Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Be flexible at all times to assist colleagues and business needs.Job responsibilities:AdministrationTo have a thorough knowledge of all practice proceduresTo work in accordance of written protocolsOpening and distributing post accordinglyChanging back-up tape when colleagues on annual leave/sickness absencePulling/filing notes and updating as necessaryScanning/filing patient documents into Docman distributing amongst clinicians as per practice protocolPhotocopy as requestedReceptionBe able to cover all reception positions as necessaryCover colleagues annual leave/sickness absence when requiredReceiving patients, consulting with members of practice teamHanding completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and addressAppointmentsProcess appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by telephone and in person following a strict triage systemDeal with visits/requests according to practice protocolComputerRegistrations of new patients computer data entry and medical recordsProcess patients changes of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area)Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelinesTelephoneHave working knowledge of telephone system, during and after hoursOther TasksProvision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required; loading and emptying the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidyKeeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutterClear rooms after surgeries as and when requiredEnsure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarmHaving target driven areas to help achieve max results for example QOF.Any other tasks allocated by managers or partners Person Specification Experience Essential Receptionist Experience.
Must be able to Multitask Experience of working in a high paced environment.
Must able to have a typing speed of 40 WPM.
Desirable Experience using EMIS, DOCMAN10, work in general practice Experience of dealing with clients on the phone Triage knowledge Experience of working in the NHS.
Experience of Social media / Content handling such as TikTok and Youtube.
