Receptionist / Administrator (Pond Tail Surgery)

Job summary Weare looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Medical Receptionist/Administratorto join our friendly team in the beautiful village of Godstone.
The position is full time based on hours per week Monday-Friday.
This will be acombination of shifts either 8:00-16:00 or 10:30-18:30 with occasional latenight cover until 8pm on a Thursday.Please note we may close the vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications.
Main duties of the job The mainresponsibilities of this role include dealing with patient enquiries face toface, over the telephone, and through our interactive website using digitaltriage as well as communicating with GPs and other healthcare professionals toensure that an efficient service is provided to our 7,000 patients.Dailyadministrative tasks will include booking appointments, prescription management,registering new patients, managing the practice email inbox and scanning andcoding all incoming correspondence including clinic letters from hospitalconsultants and discharge summaries.We are currently transitioning clinicalsystems from EMIS Web to SystmOne.
Full training will be provided on the newsoftware along with the Accurx messaging platform.
This is avaried role offering training and development opportunities in house and acrossthe wider DHC GP Federation.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys workingin a fast paced environment where each day brings new challenges and successes.
About us The contract for the surgery was taken over by DHC in January 2022 and has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
The team is growing rapidly with the addition of care coordinators, a clinical pharmacist, three clinical lead GPs and a new management team.

Person Specification Experience Essential Previous successful administration experience in a similar role (minimum of one year) Experience of using Word and email Qualifications Essential Studied to a minimum standard of GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent, in English and Maths Skills and Aptitudes Essential A good attention to detail and maintaining accuracy in all work Organised, good time management skills Able to cope with a busy workload Positive approach, calm under pressure Ability to form and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and patients Ability to work constructively as part of a small team Able to maintain confidentiality at all times Other factors Essential Efficient and meticulous approach to undertaking tasks This role does not meet the visa sponsorship criteria.
