Service Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
You will be part of a dedicated Raw Water Maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of all the on-line monitoring equipment and routine maintenance of the catchwater and raw water assets including four principle impounding reservoirs and downstream Nidd aqueduct.
Where you fit in: As our Raw Water Maintenance Process Assistant , you will You will maintain and promote a safe working environment and operate within Yorkshire Water's IMS and Health & Safety procedures and policies.
You will be able to work remotely and plan your Weekly work as part of a three-person team to ensure intakes are routinely cleared of vegetation and repaired where required.
You will also carry out basic but essential works such as grounds maintenance, fencing, stone wall rebuilding, minor pointing.
You will carry out ad-hoc sampling which includes you servicing and calibrating the water quality instruments, to ensure we maintain compliance, Water Quality and reduce any Environmental Impacts You will also support the team in responding to external customer enquiries and complaints, investigating problems, identifying solutions with key stakeholders such as Contract Partners, Estate owners, Planning Authorities, National Parks, Environment Agency, and Farmers.
What skills & qualifications you will need: Confined space working and working at height are part of the role and will therefore require a medical The successful candidate will be comfortable working practically and outdoors in all weather conditions.
You will have previous experience/knowledge of working in an operational environment where Health and Safety is key.
Previous experience of using Plant equipment, Dumper (6T) Excavator (10T), and various other Plant Equipment.
Ideally you will be from either an agricultural, building trade or Ground maintenance background.
You have experience in stone walling, Fencing, ground maintenance and small civils work.
You will be confident using a range of IT systems and be able to learn new things quickly.
You will have excellent planning and organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines and prioritise work effectively.
You will need a full, valid UK driving licence as you will be driving to sites across the Yorkshire region.
You will be provided with a Company 4 x 4 Vehicle as part of the role.
