Job DescriptionQuantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: London, Watford or Chelmsford with regional travel Salary: £54,000 - £65,000 A renowned construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in the South East to deliver high-quality construction and civil engineering projects across the UK Duties- Managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects.
- Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget.
- Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team.
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Person Specification - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, and cost control mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
