As part of the continued growth of the Group, OCU Hornbill now has a new opportunity to join the business based out of Neath, South Wales.
The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control, procurement, contract management, and project financial reporting.
You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Duties and Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities.
Manage and control project budgets, track variations, and forecast costs.
Evaluate and select subcontractors, ensuring value for money.
Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and material supply agreements.
Monitor progress, measure project performance, and prepare financial reports.
Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and provide cost advice to clients.
Conduct risk, value management, and cost control exercises throughout project lifecycles.
Provide contractual and financial support to project teams during tender and construction phases.
Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Construction/Engineering industry.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
Familiarity with current construction regulations and standards.
