Quality Assurance Officer

As a Quality Assurance Officer you will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, ensuring all quality documentation is completed satisfactorily including auto coding whilst always complying with company operating requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure implementation of food safety and quality policies and procedures Carry out daily GMP audits including in spice room, glass audits, personal hygiene audits, finished product audits, temperature audits, Internal audits, production paperwork audits including gasses, weights, metal detection, Foss.
Collect and prepare samples for taste panels.
Conduct taste panels as per customer requirements and trend results on a daily basis.
Conduct DNA audits - Si entry against Label verification records/mass balances.
Conduct training for production supervisors on Metal detection, gas and weight checking and Foss operation.
Maintain and update glass an hard plastics log Weekly calibration of scales and temperature probe Responsible for taking weekly hand swab, and daily change of species swabs, allergen washdown swabs and start of production ATP swabs Conduct and record random daily checks at all stages of the process from raw materials to finished product e.g.
catch weight and fixed weight checks, CCP checks and auto coding checks Carry out customer complaint investigations and report finding root cause to manager.
Ensure corrective actions are recorded and implemented Find product information for DNA traces Ensure struct adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes Assist in the investigation of customer complaints Assist in conducting internal audits Collect and log micro samples when required Conduct weekly calibration of scales and temperature probes Conduct weekly monitoring of pest control trapping boxes - ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures.
Ensure consistent and timely attendance at work.
Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements.
Provide pro and re active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers Knowledge and Experience Similar experience within a customer orientated and fast paces environment is essential, along with knowledge and understanding of the food industry and an understanding of Quality Assurance.
The ideal candidate will be customer driver, organised, able to set a good example, and an excellent communicator.
