Job description Job responsibilities Are you an outstanding Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with a passion for delivering high quality care?
Cygnet Health Care have been providing a national network of specialist mental health services for more than 30 years.
We need a Qualified Psychologist whos passionate about helping people with a range of complex mental health needs.
You will be joining our team on a part time, 24hr per week basis working acorss 3 days.

Cygnet Views: Cygnet Views is a 10 bed high dependency complex care service for women with learning disabilities, associated complex needs and who may have behaviours that challenge.
Your Day-to-Day To supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by Assistant Psychologists and other clinical members of the service who provide psychologically-based care and treatment.
To undertake specialist psychological assessments, interpretation from psychological tests, semi-structured interviews, individual and group therapy.
You will also consider potential risks and social needs of the client group, relevant to their diagnosis.
To formulate and implement care plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a patients mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of their problems, and employing therapeutic methods based on evidence.
You will be expected to offer psychological insight and knowledge around the clinical area and provide consultation about the psychological care of the client group to staff, families and other agencies.
You will have opportunity to develop skills in professional postgraduate teaching, training and supervision in accordance with Department needs and as identified in the appraisal review process.
You will also have involvement in audit, policy, service development along with the assessment and interpretation of outcomes.
We are looking for someone who is A HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting Able to work effective as part of a multi-disciplinary team Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Compassion Focused and DBT, but not essential Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs Has an understanding of trauma informed care and gender specific issues Capable of working with difficulties such as self-harm and suicide attempts, physical & verbal aggression, drug and alcohol problems and offending behaviour.
