Job Title: Locum Dietitian Banding: Band 6/7 Location: Stoke-on-Trent Working Hours: P referred full-time, no less than 3 days per week Start Date: ASAP Duration: 8 weeks with potential for extension Rate: Competitive and dependent on experience Opening Paragraph: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6/7 Locum Dietitian to join our team at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide dietetic services within the renal specialty, covering a broad spectrum from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) to General Nephrology and Home Therapies.
This role is ideal for a dietitian with a minimum of one year NHS experience, seeking to expand their expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied renal caseload, providing dietetic assessment, intervention, and education to patients with CKD, those undergoing general nephrology treatments, and home therapies.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care, participate in ward rounds, and contribute to the development of nutritional care plans.
Training will be provided for essential needs, including iPortal, Careflow, IT training, ward induction, referral & triaging support, and team introductions.
Qualifications and Experience : HCPC registered Dietitian Minimum of 1 year NHS experience Experience in renal dietetics is desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Additional Information : On-site working is preferable, but remote working will be considered for the right candidate.
