Public Solicitor

Public Lawyer NQ- 2 years PQE 0-2 years PQE - £35,000 - £48,000 Cardiff The successful candidate will join a team of administrative and public law lawyers dealing primarily with health, information law, judicial review and other regulatory litigation and disciplinary matters.
Health sector experience isn't essential, but it would be beneficial if you are able to demonstrate experience in the followingExperience of advising on public law in the health sector, including advising both NHS and independent health organisations, and on health law generallyAll candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of the following:Experience of litigation including drafting and consideration of pre-action correspondence and pleadings, liaison with Court staff and preparation of trial bundles JExperience of dealing with transactional workUnderstanding of information law, including FOIA, DPA and EIRAbility to monitor critical dates and ensure complianceAbility to master an understanding of systems and procedures with attention to detail and ability to advise clients on those proceduresAbility to think laterally and to consolidate and build on a wide range of disciplines What technical skills are required for someone to be successful and enjoy the role?Experienced in the preparation of relevant documentationHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with clients at all levelsAbility to work under pressure and work to and comply with litigation deadlinesFamiliarity with IT (Microsoft Office 2010) and with case management systems For a confidential discussion on this role please contact Daniel Mason at our head offices.
