My client are seeking an experienced Protection and Control Design Engineer from Senior Consultant through to Technical Director level.
Key Responsibilities: Cross-Regional Collaboration: Work closely with international teams to ensure smooth project delivery under a global service model.
Design & Calculation Mastery: Prepare relay settings and settings calculations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements.
Substation Expertise: Lead the design and engineering of protection and secondary systems for power transmission, overseeing the creation of detailed designs, reports, specifications, and tender documents.
Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients and contractors to define project requirements and provide direction from tendering to completion.
Technical Leadership: Offer high-level technical support during project execution, ensuring successful and timely delivery.
Proposal Development: Develop and present project proposals, aligning solutions with client needs and business goals.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with deep technical expertise in power systems.
7-15 years of experience in consulting or power utilities, focusing on protection design and IED settings.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed engineering decisions.
Comprehensive knowledge of transmission system protection schemes for voltages from 11kV to 500kV.
Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards for power systems.
Proven experience in producing relay settings for major manufacturers and expertise in power system modeling tools such as Digsilent PowerFactory.
In-depth understanding of protection schemes and IEC 61850, ensuring compliance and innovation in design.
