The Role We are looking for a Property Paralegal to join our Real Estate & Corporate Senior Associate in Manchester.
As a Paralegal you will be joining an outstanding Real Estate & Corporate Senior Associate.
You will be a key member of the department, with the responsibility of assisting the fee earners but also being very much involved in the transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of all stages of residential property transactions.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Plot sale transactions where you act for the Developer Transfer of ownership Filing SDLT Returns Carrying out Land Registry searches and liaising with it Completion and post completion administration; to include Companies House and Land Registry applications Monitor emails and responding where necessary and applicable Preparing Lease Reports and other document summaries Scheduling Title Deeds and Documents This role is suitable for individuals with previous Paralegal experience in the property space who wish to step into a Top 50 law firm and gain experience within Real Estate & Corporate law.
The position is to be based in our central Manchester office, on a flexible hybrid working model.
Personal Specification To be successful in the role, you will have prior experience in Property Law as a Paralegal.
You will have strong experience using Microsoft office, Adobe, DocuSign and more.
You will be pro-active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions forward.
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate: Excellent communicator, both written and oral Commercial awareness Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Be self-motivated and have a strong interest in property.
Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms).
Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks.
Ability to take initiate with tasks.
