Overview As a Property Loss Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in investigating, reporting upon, and settling property claims.
You will handle a diverse caseload of commercial and domestic losses, ensuring that claims are handled properly, fairly, and with integrity.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage all aspects of claims from cradle to grave.
How you'll make an impact Investigate, manage, and report on a caseload of property claims, including commercial and domestic losses.
Handle a full and multifaceted caseload from cradle to grave, managing all aspects of claims, including liaising with clients, policyholders, determining policy coverage, scope and quantum assessments, settlement negotiations, and recovery pursual when required.
Handle a wide portfolio of claim handling, including property (commercial and domestic), education, heritage, real estate, public and local authorities, across a range of different risks.
Ensure that claims are handled properly, fairly, and with integrity.
Maintain high standards of communication with senior management, team members, and principals to acquire information on significant claims trends.
Attend claims meetings and travel as required.
Participate in the claims auditing process.
Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures.
Perform any other duties as the need arises by Gallagher Bassett.
About You Experience of investigating and handling property claims is essential.
Strong understanding of construction, mitigation, and liability.
Cradle to grave claims handling experience.
CILA and/or CII qualifications would be helpful.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to schedule works and work with insurers, policyholders, and builders.
Ability to build relationships with clients, carriers, and brokers through active listening and close adherence to their priorities and service instructions.
Clear understanding of insurance policies and coverage.
Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
