Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager will execute and complete projects according to the agreed project milestones and within budget.
This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and other 3rd parties in order to deliver projects according to plan.
The Senior Project Manager will also define and monitor the project objectives and have overall responsibility of the projects Quality and Health & Safety throughout the projects lifecycle.
Please note that this role will be based in the UK, but travel and work abroad in Europe are required.
Therefore, the successful candidate will need to hold a valid EU passport.
What you'll be doing as our Senior Project Manager: Define the scope, goals and deliverables of projects and complete them in line with the project procedures.
Develop a full-scale project plan and other communication documents for the project.
Effectively communicate project progress/issues to internal line management/main contractor/client in an agreed and timely fashion.
Draft and submit accurate forecasts and escalate any major budget deviations to line management in an agreed timely fashion.
Ensure that project profitability is maximised at all times.
Control, mentor and motivate the project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned tasks for the duration of the project life cycle.
Liaise, coordinate, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Maintain Company health and safety policy on a daily basis throughout the duration of the project.
Report incidents, accidents and near misses to management.
Achieve and maintain defined quality standards including all records.
Ensure stock is managed in a cost effective manner and sufficient stock is available at all times to ensure efficient installation.
Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and take corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure that measuring and testing equipment required for the work area is properly identified, calibrated, adjusted and labelled.
Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained in a safe condition and is regularly serviced Promote environmental awareness to project team members.
Conduct a post contract review of the project in order to identify successful and unsuccessful elements of the scope and communicate the lessons learnt back to the business.
Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.
Appraisal and development of staff.
Take responsibility for various special projects from time to time.
Provides leadership, guidance and assistance in all aspects of the sales cycle.
Responsible for the implementation of BS ISO / IEC 27001 data security management, whilst upholding the ethos of the standard, associated legislation, Company procedures and policies What we're looking for in our Senior Project Manager: Essential EU Passport Looking for candidates with proven expertise at a project management level.
Relevant experience working in the IT environment.
Excellent knowledge of industry project delivery processes.
Excellent knowledge of project contracts scope and deliverables.
Excellent presentation skills Understanding of PRINCE2 standards Understanding of OGC Projects and Programme Process Ability to organise multi skilled teams in projects
