Project Manager & Lead - Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization

Location: ?UK/Europe (Remote/On-site as required)  Duration: ?Initial 3-4 months, with potential extension for an additional 6-12 months  Commitment: 5 days per week  About the Project: ?We are a leading management consultancy embarking on an Inventory Planning Optimization project for a major European retailer.
This project aims to enhance the retailer's merchandise planning processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels, improved demand forecasting, and efficient in-season trading.
Role Description: ?We are seeking an experienced Project Manager & Lead to oversee and drive the successful delivery of this project.
The ideal candidate will have a strong management consultancy background with prior experience in retail supply chain or merchandising.
This role requires robust project management skills and familiarity with consultancy frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:   Lead the project team in assessing current baseline data and processes.
Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Coordinate with the Subject Matter Expert and other team members to design solutions and make recommendations with a clear ROI.
Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the consulting team and client stakeholders.
Utilize project management methodologies and consultancy frameworks to guide project execution.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve project goals.
Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Qualifications:   Over 10 years experience in strong management consultancy background with significant project management experience.
Prior experience in retail supply chain or merchandising is preferred.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
Expertise in project management methodologies and consultancy frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
