On behalf of Transport Scotland we are looking for a Project Manager (Bridges) Inside IR35 for a 6 months contract likely to be extended based in Glasgow hybrid with 3 days on site.
The M8 Woodside Manager will manage the day-to-day delivery of the M8 Woodside Project on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The current stage of the M8 Woodside project involves delivering the Temporary Propping, with an overall value of around £140m.
This stage of the project is expected to complete in early 2026.
As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be: * Enabling works, propping progress, co-ordination & delivery * Generic & bespoke propping design & delivery * Technical support for repair & strengthening design & delivery to Major Projects * Stakeholder liaison manage, e.g.
GCC, SPT, Local businesses, Police * AiPs & Design/Check certification * Management of Utility protection and diversions * TTROs, s56 and Land issues * Environmental Management & Community Benefits realisation * Input to meetings & tech workshops * Governance reporting * Gateway & Peer Review support * Driving Site progress & delivery programme co-ordination.
* Technical Approval review programme management including Approval in Principle (AIP) for scheme elements and consideration of Departures for Standard & certification * Lead on project management meetings & technical workshops * Budget oversight for the M8 Woodside Essential: * Experience with projects on bridges * Manage client projects * Technical approval of design Qualifications * Chartered civil or structural engineer Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
