Project Manager £41 – £56 per hour Morson are currently recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager to support the repairs and spares of advanced Aerospace optronics equipment.
You will be accountable for the on-time-delivery of repair request from the receipt of the purchase order through to delivery of the sales order.
We are looking for either a service delivery manager or hands on project manager experienced within an engineering environment managing escalations and engagement.
This role is being offered on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
Based within an established business area, there will also be opportunities of other contract and permanent roles in the future.
Based in central Glasgow, the team is mostly onsite with possibility of remote working in the future.
We can offer the role at a rate between £41 – £45 per hour PAYE or £56 - £60 per hour umbrella inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities Driving on-time-delivery for repairs and spares, alongside management of any customer backlog.
Manage the day-to-day activity of your open order book, liaising with internal stakeholders for support to drive through the process.
Forecast commitments for delivery, backlog and revenue for outstanding work.
Communicate with customers to provide feedback and updates on progress.
Managing the turnaround for parts whether within the factory or through the supply chain.
Use of Oracle / Excel and Dashboards.
Achieve successful service delivery - SLA achievement and high levels of customer satisfaction Lead the planning process - prioritising work against the capacity and capability of the team.
Essential Requirements Experience in a dynamic engineering environment managing multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Experience as a Project/Product/Service Delivery Manager within an engineering environment.
Contribution to refining processes and driving improvements within work load management.
Working knowledge of relevant ERP, PLM systems as well as Microsoft suite.
Experience of managing customers within a commercial environment.
Excellent Communication skills.
In depth understanding of Project management principles and ideally APMP qualifications Make clear, pragmatic and manageable plans for service / programme delivery using programme and project management disciplines Desired Requirements Prior Experience of a Project/Product/Delivery Manager role within the Aerospace, Defence or Logistics sector's.
Degree level qualification or equivalent qualification/experience in a technical or business subject Experience of working with defence organisations or military customers Experience of working across international borders Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance TPBN1_UKTJ
