We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile Banking clients.
They are currently looking for a Project Analyst to join them for an initial contract running until the end of March 2025.
However, there is good likelihood for extension.
The Background: CMG provides the clients enterprise professional project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M) resource and expertise to the organisation.
It was established in Nov 2019 as an independent, centralised business function operating at a strategic level to provide enterprise-wide oversight and management of change.
The oversight function includes governance, guidance, best practices, mentoring and up-skilling project managers from other departments and BAU staff.
Implementation of a standard enterprise-wide project framework including tools, templates, and standardised processes.
The aim is that CMG ensures strategic alignment between business objectives and projects executed.
The CMG remit includes management of the enterprise project portfolio.
This is a growing function within the team and provides: Central coordination of change delivery.
Efficient use of resources, identification of conflicts, constraints, and transparent reporting of data for the portfolio Identification of trends or themes impacting delivery progress Purpose of the Role: Supports the Change or Project Manager to help meet deadlines and manage the required documentation and core administration tasks involved in the project.
Works with supervision across tasks and assignments that contribute to one or more of the large-scale, complex projects.
May also be assigned initiatives where they need to work independently to perform analysis and complete assigned tasks.
Administratively support the relevant programme/project and facilitate communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
Aid in project planning, analysis, evaluation, and minimising project risk, and streamlining project processes.
Support in PMO reporting forums and other ad-hoc tasks as defined by PMO management.
Accountability's & Responsibilities: Responsible for completing assigned tasks within the agreed timeframe.
Must self-manage day-to-day and all assigned tasks.
Provide ad hoc support to programme/project manager.
Responsible for supporting project processes and governance.
Responsible for analysis required by the project and producing accurate documentation.
Must operate across a broad range of technical/complex subject matter.
Work alongside a wide variety of corporate grades across EMEA offices.
Attends SteerCos where they interface with C-level project sponsors and multiple GMs.
May be involved in several programmes, projects or change initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Experience & Knowledge Experience of working in financial services or a year-long industrial placement during university.
Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Must be detail orientated, organised, analytical and inquisitive.
Evidence of effective communication skills both written and verbal including presentations.
Excellent MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills essential Evidence of innovative thinking and able to work under supervision.
Practical and willing to take responsibility to ensure objectives are achieved.
Good time management - must be able to work to deadlines.
Education & Qualifications The role requires the candidate to be educated to degree level - eg a banking and finance, science, computer science or degree that increases analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking.
Location: This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients London office 2-3 days a week.
You may be required to be in office 3-4 days a week for the first couple of weeks whilst training commences.
Working hours : Standard working hours with some flex where required.
