Job summary You will be responsible for the educational development of nursing staff within this area, in line with national and local initiatives.
You will also be involved in the planning and delivery of specialist education and training.
We are seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Nurse who will bring sound clinical knowledge and experience in Community Nursing.
This is a challenging role in frontline NHS services.
You must be a role model and extremely organised, supportive and able to communicate effectively.
You will be able to work clinically alongside other team members and most importantly you will be committed to patient safety and the well-being of your staff.

Demonstrate clinical knowledge and a consistently high standard of nursing practice in the field of Community Nursing.
Act as a resource for theory and best practice in the support of staff, patients and their families.- Promote staff development through assessment, supervision, education and clinical practice.- Support the clinical development of nurses during and following assessor and supervisor training.- Support assessors and supervisors in practice and with new nurse development.- Support the community teams in the delivery of the Statutory, Mandatory and Service Specific training as identified by the Trust- Work collaboratively with other service providers to deliver external training programmes.- Contribute to the induction courses for new nurses.- Promote the philosophy of Dudley Group of Hospitals.- Support research in practice.

Person Specification Qualifications & Education Essential Registrant to be educated to degree level Teaching & assessing qualification Desirable Has completed assessor programme Evidence of post graduate study in in education Experience Essential Proven extensive working within the community nursing clinical setting, encompassing current specialist knowledge accross a range of complex clinical skills/procedures.
In depth knowledge of all educational policies and procedures pertinent to community working.
Experience of teaching in both formal and informal settings Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Able to produce complex written and verbal reports Excellent IT skills Evidence of educational programme development Effective leadership skills Has up to date knowledge of current issues and changes within NHS which affect Community Nursing.
