Job Summary ProAxsis is a commercial diagnostics company with growing sales of its laboratory-based and point-of-care in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products.
We are looking to recruit a Production Scientist to join our dynamic team.
You will be responsible for the manufacturing and supply of our IVD products and will also help support R&D and Clinical Services projects.

Responsibilities/Key Duties ·       Day to day management of all manufacturing activities ensuring ongoing product supply and on time product delivery to customer expectations.

o  Lab management.

o  Ordering of consumables/raw materials
o  Manufacturing of product components and final kit assembly
o  QC testing
o  Shipping of products
o  Inventory management
o  Resource management
o  Troubleshooting
·       Ensuring all manufacturing activities are executed in compliance with defined procedures.

·       Key role in supporting full implementation of ISO13485 and ensuring targets and milestones are achieved in relation to ISO13485 certification.

·       Planning own day-to-day activities within framework of ongoing work.

·       Partner with Head of Business Operations to achieve short- and long-term manufacturing goals as well as overall Business Operations goals.

·       Liaise on a regular basis with other ProAxsis team members.

·       Have regular 1:1 and wider team meetings with the Head of Business Operations to provide updates and discuss any issues/challenges which have arisen.

·       Proactively support and assist where necessary other Business Operations areas to ensure wider group goals are achieved.

·       Where necessary provide training to others.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required •   Graduate degree in a relevant science-related subject.

•  Previous practical experience with conducting ELISA-type assays.

·     Previous experience (1-2 years) of working in manufacturing within diagnostic device companies would be highly desirable.

•  Specific experience of handling respiratory samples would be highly desirable.

·     Excellent project management skills with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

·     Driven, motivated and organised with excellent attention to detail.

·     Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability.

·     Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, negotiate, resolve conflict, problem solve and overcome resistance or barriers.

·     Ability to understand and summarise scientific data.

·     "Small company mindset", with willingness to seek innovative solutions to challenges.

·     Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

This is a permanent, full-time role, with a base salary commensurate with experience and performance.
The company also offers a generous holiday and sickness allowance, as well as inclusion in the Benenden Healthcare package.

The successful applicant will be based full-time at the company's Head Office in Belfast.
