Product Buyer Galgorm Group is the leading independent supplier to the Catering, Hygiene & Wholesale markets throughout Ireland.
Our business, operating since 1968, continues to expand in both product range and market sectors with a fleet of Galgorm Group vehicles leaving our premises daily, delivering to Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Nursing Homes, Factories, Schools Universities and other institutions as well as to the vibrant Wholesale / Cash & Carry business, both North and South of the border.
Changes within the department have resulted in an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Product Buyer with a solid background of at least 3 to 5 years experience in supply chain management.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute significantly to the development of our supply chain function and to further a career within a highly stimulating, dynamic and progressive company.
Your primary objective will be managing procurement resources, to minimise supply costs whilst maximising supplier performance.
This is a cross functional role working with all areas of the supply chain to achieve overall business objectives and you will liaise with customer service, sales support, and marketing in order to achieve this.
Key requirements are: sound IT and analytical skills strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness and preferably, an appropriate 3rd level / professional qualification.
