Role Summary: To deliver effective procurement solutions to Major Project Delivery, managing internal relationships with key stakeholders to improve performance and reduce cost and business risk significantly.
To deliver a better value supply chain by embedding category strategies into business areas and focusing on the needs of internal & external customers.
This role will manage the supply of goods and services across the business to achieve financial savings whilst ensuring that performance improvements are made through a more strategic approach to supply chain management and a more integrated approach with our customers (internal & external) and our suppliers.
Can identify and include basic sustainability requirements into tender documents and orders.
To work and liaise with the Central Group Procurement function.
Requirements Support the strategic management of the supply chain across a wide range of complex goods and services Prepare and issue enquiries, completing quotation analysis and evaluations Complete and present data on the tender process, identify preferred supplier and successfully onboard To be a trusted service partners in all Commercial and Supply Chain matters Deliver against a Supply Chain work plan, to deliver service improvements, reduce risk, achieve cost avoidance and maximise savings opportunities.
Demonstration of excellent people skills to develop collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
To extract, interpret and present data to business stakeholders, the client and external stakeholders, in order to articulate and evidence current practices and situations Develop communication plans to ensure the business remains updated with any category changes Develop and present strategies, projects and updates to business stakeholders Undertake high level tendering and contracting activities Have a proactive approach and ability to problem solve and make decisive decisions when issues and challenges arise.
Possess a proactive and creative ability to maximise cost efficiencies and deliver savings that impact positively on the business budget Support the development and robust monitoring of business contracts aimed at ensuring that our services offer value for money Develop an increasing commitment to environmental purchasing sustainability.
Qualifications & Additional Requirements CIPS qualification or degree equivalent or working towards CIPS qualification Excellent knowledge of Purchasing and Supply process with experience in Procurement A proven track record of procurement savings delivery in either the private or public sector Indirect and FM category knowledge an advantage.
