Our client's Private Client group is based across 3 offices, including Beaconsfield, and they provide legal service to clients on all aspects of wills, trusts, tax planning, Enduring Powers and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Probate law.
The firm has a fantastic opportunity for an NQ to 3 year Solicitor with experience in Private Client work.
The wider Private Client group is recognised as a regional heavyweight and includes a specialist Estate Planning team, a High-Net-Worth Residential Property team, Contentious Probate team and an Education Law team.
To provide a high quality legal service to clients on all aspects of wills, trusts, tax planning, Enduring Powers and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Probate law in line with the firm's standards of performance, they ensure exemplary client care, establishing trust and confidence and demonstrate strong financial management, commercial awareness and professionalism at all times.
The key responsibilities will include providing a high-quality legal service to clients on all aspects of wills, trusts, tax planning, Enduring Powers and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Probate law including: Will drafting Probate and administration of estates Lifetime tax planning and trust drafting Advising in relation to Enduring Powers and Lasting Powers of Attorney Court of Protection The Solicitor will develop their own technical knowledge and skills, including the ability to: Analyse information and reach sound decisions.
Understand and adhere to instructions.
Communicate succinctly both orally and in writing.
Research appropriate case law and technical and legal precedents to progress matters.
Remain up to date professionally and technically by attaining and recording CPD, as well as developing knowledge of the market place and client base.
Ensuring personal time recording and billing targets are achieved.
Ensuring that all chargeable work is properly recorded on client matters.
Adhering to the SRA's client care directive and to the firm's own policies as set out in the Office Manual.
Maintaining good file management as set out in the Office Manual.
Understanding the obligations relating to client accounts and ensure preparation and delivery of bills in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Assist the team in its marketing and business development objectives, including activities such as attending client events, writing text/articles for the website and other publications, and assisting the Partners in organising marketing events.
Ideal candidates will be educated to degree level (with a 2:1 or above) with a strong LPC pass or equivalent, and hold a current unencumbered practising certificate from the SRA.
Skills and Experiences needed include: Indicatively, 0-3 years post qualification experience in this area of legal work.
Good technical grounding in this area of law.
