About the Role Our client is looking for someone to join their dynamic Platform team as a Principal Platform Engineer!
They are looking for an experienced Principal Platform Engineer who is passionate about deploying and owning AWS within an Enterprise environment, championing infrastructure as code and automation.
This is a super exciting role because you will be a key part of their dynamic Platform team and be able to take the lead on certain projects and have the opportunity to mentor more junior members of the team.

What You'll Do • Build Platform Services: Develop and enhance the AWS-based platform using infrastructure as code.
• Lead: Evangelise, and drive best practises for engineering within Cloud Platforms and wider Tech & Product Tribe • Automate Deployments: Create robust automation pipelines for seamless code deployment.
• Collaborate: Work closely with teams to expand the Cloud platform capabilities.
• Innovate: Drive improvements in the technology stack, from AWS and EKS to Observability tools.
• Secure Systems: Ensure the platforms meet the highest security and compliance standards.
Ideal Experience • Experience owning Cloud platform-wide deliverables • Working with Cloud within an Enterprise, including highly-secure and governed environments • In-depth knowledge of AWS, specifically around Landing Zone tooling & platform engineering.
• Experience and expertise in: AWS Control Tower, AWS EC2, AWS EKS, Terraform, AWS access controls (SCP, IAM Roles, IAM Boundary policies), CI/CD pipeline automation, AWS networking and DNS, AWS S3, and AWS RDS • 5+ years' experience in a platform engineering role • Experience with Helm, unit and behaviour driven development in Terraform, Github action, event-driven services in AWS, are a bonus.
