Location: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Orkney or Londonandwe encourage hybrid working Purpose of the Role Xodus are seeking a senior EIA consultant who is looking to build on a portfolio of project management and leadership in environmental consenting.
This role provides opportunities to work across multiple industries and/or topic opportunities, and take a senior delivery position within a supportive and friendly team environment.
Xodus have an exciting portfolio of clients and projects, spanning offshore wind, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, cables and interconnectors, oil and gas production, decommissioning, and decarbonisation.
Our team includes established and developing specialists in receptor topics, as well as industry specialists and regulatory leads.
However, just as importantly, we value the broad technical, project and people management skills of experienced EIA practitioners who can apply their well-honed talents to any one of our renewables projects, ensuring excellent quality delivery at every level.
We are seeking established industry professionals who are able to provide advice to our clients across the project lifecycle.
Our ideal colleague would have a full understanding of the consenting process for offshore renewable projects, to a level where they can support and lead less experienced consultants, and experience in engaging with clients and project delivery at points throughout this process.
Requirements Do you have some of the following?
Lead the delivery of interesting and dynamic scopes including Environmental Impact Assessments for a variety of marine energy and coastal developments (e.g., offshore wind, marine renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage and decarbonisation), provide pre and post-consent support and consenting advice.
Lead stakeholder and client engagement for projects, in addition to promoting and driving forward industry standards and practices.
Producing high quality report and presentations, including QA/QC responsibilities.
Developing innovative approaches to EIA and HRA challenges.
Developing and upskilling colleagues.
Working with ecology and engineering specialists in the delivery of multi-disciplinary scopes; and Contributing to business development strategy and delivery actions, including identifying and securing key projects. .
Qualifications, Skills & Behaviours Background in a senior (Project Manager, Project Sponsor or Specialist) role with experience of the full consenting process for marine renewable energy projects in the UK, Scotland and/or Ireland.
Leading others and working in an integrated collaborative team in the delivery of EIA or HRA; Providing expert advice to clients and leading stakeholder engagement; Proven business development including successful proposal delivery and active network growth; and Excellent written and verbal communication, quality assurance, organisation, and time management skills. Desirable Experience Specialism in a consenting receptor topic, e,g, fish ecology, ornithology or marine mammals, or specific industry, e.g.
offshore wind, carbon capture or cables.
Proven experience working in a consultancy environment or demonstrable transferrable skills.
Line management and or team management experience.
