HMP Winchester has free onsite parking as well as excellent transport links - there is a bus stop opposite the site and the train station is a 10 minute walk.
This is a newly created role, with lots of variety, and a great way to start your career in a prison environment!
Hours: This is a full time role, hours per week, usually Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.
Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary up to £27,582 per annum - depending on experience.

You will: Provide a high standard of portering services and housekeeping, escorting visitors and contractors into and around the prison Deal with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face Carry out basic admin tasks, including answering calls, scanning, delivering post etc Deliver a tidy healthcare area, monitoring and ordering stock as necessary, paying attention to expiry dates and cost of equipment Work with the admin team to ensure paperwork is collected form the wings, as well as assisting the pharmacy in the transporting of medication If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Our new Porter Will Have: Experience within a porter role, from any industry Have good IT skills - any admin experience would be a bonus!
Excellent communication skills A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Able to work within a busy environment Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
