Job summary We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the Dorset HealthCare Podiatry Service in a developmental role.
We are looking for people who have a passion and a desire to start or further develop their career in podiatry in Dorset.
You must be able to demonstrate compassion, commitment, and respect in line with the NHS values and behaviours as well as flexibility to work across more than one employer.
This is a development role via the Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship standard.
The post-holder will be a trainee and will complete a Level 5 Diploma for Assistant Practitioners in role will involve travel across Dorset.
Main duties of the job You will undertake a two-year assistant practitioner apprenticeship programme.
As well as studying, you will provide comprehensive foot care treatment,advice and continuing care to patients.
This will include footcare such as nail reduction and lesion redressing.
Other duties will include, support to specialist and lead podiatrists, responsible for stock orders, accurate recording of treatments and related work, preparing clinical areas and manufacturing of insoles and silicone appliances.
