Platform Services Engineer

We have an office in London and this position can be based in the office, hybrid remote, or remote (subject to your existing right to work within the jurisdiction). About the Role Responsibilities Work closely with Platform Services team members to continue growing our backend (based on Node & AWS)Work on a variety of items such as smaller bug fixes and improvements, all the way up to complete new services, in order to support our ever expanding feature setAlong with the rest of the team, ensure our best development practices are adhered toBe able to quickly get up to speed on technologies and products specific to Here technologiesIterate quickly on proofs of concept and turn these proofs of concept into production quality codeCollaborate cross functionally with product teams and customers on occasion, to gain a deep understanding of feedback and ensure our lead in the marketplaceWork with some of the best developers all around the globe (US, UK, Europe)What We're Looking for  4+ years of experience building complex consumer grade web applications and experience working in enterprise production environmentsLarge scale experience with Node and microservices requiredExperience with a wide range of other technologies such as Typescript, Electron, OAuth, AWS, RabbitMQ, PostgresExperience with working in an agile environment and the ability to think ahead of the sprintA quality first mindset and a solutions-oriented individual that is a reliable self-starterA demonstrated ability to adapt to needs of various stakeholders and re-prioritize tasks as necessary in a shifting environmentExcellent analytical thinking and a high level of attention to detailStrong communication skills with the desire to collaborate and influence peersRECRUITERS NOTICE: Recruiters - if you wish to reach out to us regarding this job posting, you may reach out to ****** in order for your communication to be reviewed.
