Job Title: Planning EngineerLocation: OldhamSalary: CompetitiveJob type: Permanent, Full-timeOldham Engineering Limited is a well-established medium sized engineering business with a long history and exciting plans for business growth.We are looking to strengthen our team and appoint a Planning Engineer based at our manufacturing site in Oldham.Role and Responsibilities Produce detailed schedules for purchasing and detailed job planning for manufacturing departments in line with technical details and technical specifications supplied by the customer.Able to read, understand technical drawings and understand technical requirements of the customer's order to create detailed manufacturing plans.Produce detailed schedules for the purchasing department to procure both raw materials and sub contract services.Produce detailed job planning for the manufacturing process using the most efficient/cost effective process available.Produce detailed Autocad drawings, Sketches and plant drawings ready for manufacture when necessary.
Skills and Experience required: Time served in Mechanical Engineering.Auto-cad Software Experience is essential.Previously worked in medium to heavy engineeringStrong IT skills – Including Excel & Microsoft Project The Planning Engineer role requires a candidate with energy, an enthusiastic approach and a can-do attitude who can work well within a team.As a Company we have a strong manufacturing capability and History, with over 160 years Manufacturing from the Oldham Site.
