The prison site is currently under construction and Practice Plus Group were recently awarded the healthcare contract to begin delivering services in April 2025.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.
Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of between £24,670 and £28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary.
You will Complete general dispensary duties and stock management Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications required NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards Medicines handing experience desirable not essential Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Good IT skills and IT literacy Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
