At Leader Education , we are seeking a PE Teacher to support children within an alternative provision who cater for secondary students.
The ideal Teacher will have had previous experience working with young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) , as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
This position is well-suited to a passionate and motivated person who is looking to make a difference in young people's lives through the power of sport.
The successful candidate would work across several locations including: Leeds, Bradford, York and Huddersfield.
We will also support with petrol costs for further distances (depending on the successful candidate's location).
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30.
The successful Candidate will: Candidates will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one Delivering engaging theory and practical lessons Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing Support the development of social and emotional skills Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse need Arranging for sporting events for young people throughout the academic year Completing in-house administration (attendance, weekly reports, and half-term reports) PGCE (QTLS or QTS preferred) Sports degree (preferred) Sports coaching background Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience, qualifications which are relevant to this role.
