Job Description As a Payroll Supervisor you will oversee and lead a team of payroll professionals ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of end-to end payroll services while maintaining high customer satisfaction and team performance.
This role combines technical payroll expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to process improvement in a dynamic retail environment.
Key responsibilities: Responsible for store payroll oversight & checking payroll data and internal controls delivering an excellent customer experience.
Be a main support for the payroll team, advising and guiding where necessary and encouraging continuous improvement and a solution focused way of working.
Ensuring the internal controls are maintained and up to date Liaising with external auditors and ensure timely responses to the payroll related questions.
Ensuring you and your team undertake continuous professional development in relation to any regulations or legislation changes with impact on Payroll, Benefits & Master Data.
Producing, analysing and actioning payroll reporting to meet internal and external obligations.
Working with Accounts team in regards of tax, reconciliation and HMRC queries.
Qualifications We are looking for someone who has proven experience in managing an end-to-end UK payroll process.
We are looking for people who have: Minimum 4 years' experience in payroll leadership role Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on payroll trends and legislation Experience of working with external audit Previous experience of using SAP An understanding of PAYE compliance Advanced in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Good to have: Accounting qualification or CIPP diploma in payroll management Additional Information We are more about personality and competence - leadership and value driven approach are key.
