Job summary Marriott's Medical Practices have an exciting opportunity to grow our team of patient coordinators and to further develop our progressive team.
This will be on a part-time basis of hours per week.
After 6 months, the salary will increase to £ per hour.
The position will be based at our Bacon Road Medical Centre.
We offer a two-week induction whereby you will have time with our team to gain a good understanding of how the practice operates.
Main duties of the job Offer general assistance to the practice team & project a positive & friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Ensure that all our patients have access to a safe surgery environment.
Receive, assist, & direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, & effective way.
Monitor and maintain the reception waiting area ensuring patients are kept informed in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or updates to clinics.
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff & other members of the practice team.
Ensure accurate documentation within patient records via SystmOne.
Monitor and respond to online communications via our online system, patchs.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Good secondary education Experience Essential Good general secondary education.
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Excellent keyboard and computer skills.
Ability to listen and empathise.
Appropriate IT knowledge, skills, and experience.
Negotiating skills and problem solving.
Good time management.
An understanding, acceptance, and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities.
Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team.
Pleasant and articulate.
Able to work under pressure.
Able to work in a changing environment.
Able to use own initiative.
Honest, caring, pleasant, sympathetic, good humoured and always displays integrity.
Willing to work flexible hours as necessary.
Desirable Experience of working in public reception environment.
Experience of using a clinical medical system, or similar.
Experience of dealing with the public/patients.
Experience of dealing with the public on the telephone.
Customer care training.
Experience of using SystmOne.
Knowledge of primary care in the NHS.
