Job summary We are seeking to appoint a Pathway Administrator Assistant to join our Community Paediatric team at Oxford Children's Hospital.The post will be based at John Radcliffe Hospitals as part of Oxford University Hospital.This post is crucial to the ongoing development of the services and would suit a candidate who has excellent organisational and communication skills.
You will be expected to liaise with staff and colleagues at all levels.
You should have the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload to tight deadlines.
You will need to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in your approach and be able to work in a pressurised and busy environment.Knowledge of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record System (EPR) and knowledge of elective access standards would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.This position requires the demonstration of organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a team member.
If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic and keen to join our team then we would encourage you to apply.Working hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 Main duties of the job Coordinate the day to day running of the Community Paediatric Outpatient reception, ensuring that all patients and staff are greeted in friendly and professional manner and provided with a smooth and efficient service.To greet patients at reception in a helpful, polite and efficient manner.Check all demographics details for patients on arrival, updating these appropriately whilst adhering to the Trust policies for data protection and patient confidentiality.Register patient's attendance on EPR.Deal with enquiries in a sympathetic and professional manner using tact and diplomacy when dealing with anxious patients and relatives.To ensure that special requests for additional support in clinics such as interpreters or sign language services are dealt with timeously.To make sure the relevant reception area within the Directorate are kept tidy and in good repair, with any defects being reported to the relevant line manager.To be able to prioritise your workload and work with minimal supervision.To undertake further training as and when required About us Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.

Job description Job responsibilities You will be the first point of contact for patients, clinicians and visitors to the department, ensuring a polite and friendly service and that patient details are recorded accurately onto our system.
You will also be responsible for liaising with clinical staff with regards to patient arrival times and safety information.
You will deal with enquiries by various methods of media, including telephone, email.The candidate must ensure all reception tasks are completed accurately, to ensure patients are attended for their appointments, queries are recorded accurately and information regarding appointments are passed correctly to the administration staff and applicable clinical staff.You must be a good team player, have a flexible approach and have the ability to work proactively and at times using your own initiative.
The candidate with have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience of working with hospital software is advantageous.You will work in a busy patient centred department as part of an Administration and Clerical team with good peer group support and with appropriate training provided as necessary.
