Paralegal

This in-house paralegal role ensures corporate governance compliance, and oversees contract drafting/review to streamline all operations, bringing capabilities in-house.
This role is pivotal in enabling the business to operate efficiently by streamlining contract processes and enhancing corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities: Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with the UK Companies Act and maintain accurate records.
Manage and maintain shareholder agreements and investor relations.
Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, reducing dependency on external counsel.
Support project managers by handling contractual duties, freeing them for strategic activities.
Investor and Reporting Duties: Prepare investor packs and meet reporting requirements.
Administer staff option schemes and associated documentation.
Legal Advisory: Provide generalist legal support, identifying and escalating matters to specialists when required.
Profile Requirements: Experience: Paralegal background is preferred; qualification as a lawyer is not essential.
Demonstrated ability in contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
Familiarity with corporate governance processes and compliance.
Experience in investor relations and financial reporting.
Experience in a Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences business - essential Skills and Attributes: Strong understanding of UK corporate law.
Ability to work autonomously and identify risk areas needing specialist input.
Collaborative approach to working across teams and functions.
Day Rate: Competitive: £600–800 per day
