Job summary Chet Valley Medical Practice based in Loddon, has an exciting opportunity for a PA to support our practice business manager on a permanent, part-time basis for 30 hours a week.
This interesting and challenging role will see the successful individual provide effective administration and management of the practice, striving to enhance several key systems in both clinical and administrative areas.
The PA will also champion quality and improvement programmes, confidentiality, collaborative working and learning and development.
Main duties of the job Supporting the practice manager as required with projects, systems, and procedures,areas of change management and continuous improvement.
Providing key performance information as requested.
Supporting the practice business manager with the monitoring of significant events, complaints, and audits.
Contributing to the development, implementation and embedding of an effective practice training and induction programme for all staff.
Providing administrative support for compliance registers, supporting the Practice Business Manager, ensuring all pre-employment checks are conducted and repeated as necessary.
Coordinating the practice diary, ensuring meetings are scheduled appropriately.
Coordinating internal meeting arrangements, preparing agendas and producing minutes for meetings.
Drafting of the practice newsletter on a quarterly basis.
About us Chet Valley Medical Practice is based within the village of Loddon in our spacious purpose-built premises.
We have a list size of 9000 patients and cover an area including Loddon, Chedgrave and the surrounding villages including Norton Sub Course, Hoverston and Surlingham.
We are currently on a journey of improvement and are looking for someone with the same ambition as us to provide excellent patient care within a safe and sustainable working environment Chet Valley is a dispensing practice and have a full nursing team who deal with the long-term condition management as well as two nurse practitioners, an outreach nurse and a paramedic who deals with most of our home visits.

Person Specification Experience Essential A good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience of working within a healthcare setting.
Experience of working with the general public.
Experience of workforce planning.
Experience of producing agendas for meetings.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Leadership or management qualification.
AMSPAR qualification.
Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams.
Experience of performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures.
NHS/Primary Care/general practice experience.
SystmOne user.
