These positions are 'roaming' based, meaning the work is not limited to one set location.

Role: Overhead Transmission Linesmen Sector: Engineering Duration: Permanent Location: United Kingdom Working Hours Normal business hours are between 7.30 am – 6 pm 12 days on, 2 days off Summer 26 weeks: 10 hours Winter 26 weeks: 9 hours The Role As an Overhead Transmission Linesman duties include: General Rigging, carrying out pre-inspection checks Earthing tasks Jumpering Platform erection Jointing Running conductors and earth/ground wires Steel assembly and erection tasks In-situ steelwork replacement Install downleads in accordance with diagrams Install anti-climbing devices Operate effectively as part of a team Follow relevant company policies, procedures and documentation Carry out other tasks as directed Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in: Tower Erection Steelwork replacement Full and partial structural replacement Maintenance work Steel lattice tower experience is essential Formal qualifications (relevant) would be desirable Valid UK car driving license/International driving permit is desirable Additional: If applying from outside of the UK applicants will need to meet the Home Office requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa, this includes: Pass the UKVI IELTS/Provide proof of English language proficiency Obtain a clear Tuberculosis test (for certain countries) Clean immigration history Benefits Salary £21.97 p/h Basic rate (£19.66) during induction and winter training periods.
