Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) https://asc-aqua.org/ is driving the world's leading certification programme for responsibly farmed seafood.
We are a passionate group of Aquaculture experts who are literally Setting The Standard for Seafood, globally!
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Market Development Manager (UK based) to join our team to deepen and expand the uptake of ASC's certification and labelling program in the region.
You will service our commercial partners such as retailers, brands and their suppliers, as well as strategic landscape shapers, like NGOs or institutions who can endorse us.
The United Kingdom is one of our key growth markets for ASC worldwide.
In this role you will be responsible for further expanding the uptake of ASC's certification and labelling programme by implementing a specific UK market strategy.
You will work closely with our partners such as retail, brands, suppliers, farms and other NGOs to achieve this.
This role is embedded in our European Market Development Team so you will play a key role as part of a global structure, working to deliver on core growth targets for the UK & Ireland markets.
Are you passionate about responsibly farmed seafood and driving uptake of the ASC programme with commercial and non-commercial partners?
Have you got strong experience with key account management/development, acting as the external face of an organisation?
Do you have strong communication and negotiation skills and can you 'hold your own' when conveying sometimes difficult messages and content in a clear way?
Can you pro-actively seek out and snap up opportunities that enable both growth and connection links for overall success of the ASC certification locally?

You will be focused on increasing the uptake of the ASC certification and labelling programme and increasing the understanding of the ASC and the role that we play in delivering solutions to the social and environmental challenges of Aquaculture.
The primary goals will be enhancing the quality of key commercial partner engagement, building effective working relationships and securing new commercial and non-commercial partners and endorsers.
You will need to be pro-active, solution oriented with a hands-on strategic approach to market development delivery, locally.
You will have natural influencing, prioritisation and engagement skills and an affinity to our overall organisational ASC mission and values (Open, Caring, Informed and Creative).
