About this opportunity This is an exciting time to join Cumberland Council's Organisational Development and Training (OD&T) Team as the organisation moves towards transformation and change. It is an opportunity to build on your career with organisational development.
We are looking for someone to join us who embraces the values of Cumberland Council and can demonstrate those at interview.
As a corporate enabling function we work with teams across all directorates, from highways to social care, to determine their learning needs, provide professional advice on learning solutions, procure and deliver high quality learning interventions using both traditional and technology-based methods.
We require an experienced Training Partner to join our Organisational Development and Training (OD&T) team to support the learning and development needs of teams in the Children and Family Wellbeing directorate, which is an Ofsted inspected service. We are looking for innovative approaches to learning and to build solid working relationships in supporting the directorate as it moves through transformation and change.

Who we're looking for The ideal candidate will have experience of training needs analysis and formulating training plans, working within budgets, adopting a strength and evidence-based approach. Ideally taking an organisational development view on all training interventions.
Building strong working relationships both within the team and the services you support is essential.
You will offer professional advice on learning interventions, development opportunities and look for innovative ways to bring alternative methods of delivery.
As Training Partner, you will have line management responsibilities, so understanding how to support, coach and mentor people will be crucial in ensuring priorities are achieved.
