Operations Manager - EV Charging / EV - Northamptonshire / London - £65k Position: Operations Manager Industry: Renewables / EV Charging / EV Location: Oxfordshire Reports To: Senior Leadership Team Hybrid WFH: 2/3 days per week Salary: £55k-£65k Overview We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, logistics, health and safety, insurance, and related functions.
This role will be instrumental in ensuring seamless and efficient operations, supporting growth initiatives, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, a background in operations management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Operations Management : Lead and manage daily operational activities, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and continuous improvement.
Logistics : Oversee logistics planning, including inventory control, scheduling, and distribution, to support business goals and client needs.
Health & Safety (H&S) : Implement, monitor, and ensure compliance with H&S policies, conducting risk assessments, and developing safety protocols.
Insurance : Manage all insurance requirements, liaising with providers to maintain appropriate coverage and addressing any claims or incidents.
Vendor and Supplier Relations : Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring high service levels.
Budget and Cost Control : Monitor operational budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage expenses to achieve financial targets.
Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to optimize operational efficiency and enhance service delivery.
Team Leadership : Manage, motivate, and develop a small team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to company values and standards.
Key Skills & Experience: Experience : Minimum of 5 years in operations management, logistics, or a related field, ideally within a regulated environment.
Knowledge of H&S Standards : Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Project Management Skills : Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Communication and Leadership : Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Analytical Skills : Competence in using data to drive decisions, monitor KPIs, and optimise operations.
Adaptability : Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
