JOB OVERVIEW: Operations / Contracts Manager - Extensive experience of managing projects within a civils/water environment Good working knowledge of contract conditions.
Salary: To c£70K+ plus car, pension++ THE COMPANY; My client has we have grown to provide all Groundwork and Civil Engineering services covering the entirety of the UK and Ireland from our office in Northern Ireland, delivering services to some of the biggest named Construction companies in the world.
THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Managing Director, we are looking for an Operations / Contracts Manager to become a key member; who is comfortable in full control of our operations & Contracts Management, to build and develop our senior management team at the pre-contract stage, through to completion of each project.
We seek an individual who can manage and deliver on the following remit.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: Essential Extensive experience of managing projects within a civils/water environment Good working knowledge of contract conditions CDM regulations design management programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting actual cost and value reporting Experience of MS project develop and train team Knowledge of the all types of Contracts including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms Educated as a minimum to HNC/HND/Degree level (or equivalent) CSCS card Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process for a number of multi-discipline projects Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both customers and all levels of staff Problem solving skills and analytical thinking Desirable CEng MICE or equivalent NEBOSH construction certificate Experience of using Construction Software and help to introduce this through the team to create processes and a start a lean culture WHAT'S ON OFFER; -This is a fantastic opportunity for a true innovative market leader enjoying fantastic ongoing growth & there are opportunities for career progression.
