The Widener University School of Nursing is currently seeking a dynamic applicant for an open rank full-time, 10-month faculty position with clinical expertise in area of practice on the Chester Campus beginning in Fall 2025 reporting to the Dean of the School of Nursing.The School of Nursing, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and recognized by the National League for Nursing as a Center of Excellence, is known for its collegial and supportive faculty environment.
We offer comprehensive faculty mentorship, opportunities for faculty development, and exceptional opportunities for engagement both in the School of Nursing and the University.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to): Essential duties: Design and delivery of evidence-based teaching strategies for undergraduate and graduate nursing curricula, collaboration within the School of Nursing to develop, review, and revise curricula to ensure compliance with accreditation and national standards, engage in scholarly productivity to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge, mentor/advise students, participate in student recruitment, and engage in service to the university, School of Nursing and community, and contribute to the creation of an environment that promotes diversity, inclusivity, growth, equality, and freedom of speech.
Secondary responsibilities: Develop continuing education opportunities, foster interprofessional learning experiences, clinical practice as required by advanced practice certification.

The clinic offers pro bono medical care to uninsured/underserved residents in the surrounding communities MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):Required: Earned Research Doctorate (PhD, EdD) in nursing or related field (required for tenure-track) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (Clinical Track)Current Multistate Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Pennsylvania RN licensure (or US RN licensure and eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania)Three years of academic teaching experience (can include clinical teaching)Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration Preferred: Certification as an APRN or CNSCurrent clinical practice in area of specialtyExperience with student advisement PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR UNUSUAL HOURS: May require teaching in the evening and participation in recruitment events in the evening and on weekends.
