Job summary Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Older Persons Mental Health and Community Rehab ServiceMaternity leave coverCountywide - We have an Occupational Therapist opportunity within Yeovil and Wincanton.We are looking for dynamic and inspiring Occupational Therapist to join the Community Rehab Team and Older Persons Mental Health Team.You will gain an in depth understanding of community working and supporting people within their own homes and the day centreSuccessful candidates will be directly supported by a Senior Occupational Therapist and Advanced Practitioner/Clinical Specialist within the team.The post holder will work as part of the South Somerset Integrated Neighbourhood team, working collaboratively with the wider South Somerset, rehab, health and social care system and Older Persons Mental Health Community teams.
Main duties of the job You will be expected to carry out specific therapy assessments which will include goal setting and treatment planning, assessing risk, promoting and enabling independent functioning.
You will be committed to a person-centred approach to your work, have an ability to prioritise and work flexibly.
Working alongside our provider teams and rehabilitation practitioners.What are we looking for?Are you a fully qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration (or pending if you're still studying)?Do you have a desire to enhance your post-graduate training and experience?Do you want to get involved in a pioneering service that welcomes development initiatives and integration projects?Keen to take an active role in developing and nurturing others, both personally and professionally?Do you want to relocate to the countryside?
