Nursery Assistant Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £83 – £100 per day Contract Type: Full-Time GSL Education's North Yorkshire branch is currently looking to appoint a qualified Nursery Assistant for a Client Primary School located in Ripon, North Yorkshire, starting in January 2025.

Nursery Assistant Requirements: Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent.
Additional training in Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting Be knowledgeable of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, principles, and practice.
Experience or understanding of behaviours of children with special needs.
Nursery Assistant Responsibilities: Work with the class teacher to support early years children within a special educational needs school.
Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities.
Support children on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Use sensory resources and approaches to support learning.
Monitor and promote children's physical and emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding children's progress and needs.
