Job summary An exciting opportunity to join an expanding team at Optimise Healthcare Group.We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and driven staff to join our team offering outpatient mental health services.The candidate must have a keen interest in neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD/ASD) and be willing to complete further training in relation to these conditions.The successful candidate will complete regular clinics reviewing patient's prescribed medications, and work closely with senior members of the team and other professionals to ensure the smooth transition of care from secondary to primary services.
Main duties of the job The main duties include:1.
Communicating efficiently with patients, staff and external bodies2.
Completing clinical duties in relation to treatments3.
Ensuring the smooth running of the clinic on a day to day basis4.
Completing administration tasks to a high standard5.
Completing training in areas required by the company6.
Liaising with external providers and primary care services7.
Compiling reports in relation to KPI's and presenting such in team meeting8.
Working closely with the management team to improve services9.
Completing regular supervision with senior members of the team10.
Supporting junior members of staff and student nurses11.

To ensure that agreed quality assurances initiatives are implemented within the clinic.2.
Liaise with social care regulators and local authorities when required to ensure effective patient care3.
To become the person in charge responsible for the day-to-day running of the clinic4.
To provide improvement, independence and choice for patients, making sure they are treated with dignity at all times.5.
To comply with all regulatory requirements at all times and in particular the Regulations for the Registration and Inspection of outpatient clinics.6.
To ensure policy and procedures understood by yourself to ensure the highest standard of care.7.
To ensure that all patients have an up-date care plan, which is regularly evaluated and actively involves patients in the preparation.8.
To ensure all risks associated with care is identified and correctly actioned.9.
To regularly monitor the delivery of care given by staff ensuring that the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of the patients are recognised, assessed and met.10.
To ensure the company and its processes are fully compliant with the Mental Capacity Act and that patients are empowered to make choices where able and where not best interest decisions are made on their behalf involving all those necessary.11.
To ensure an active responsible clinician system for all the patients.12.
To ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of care consistent with the requirements of Health Inspectorate Wales13.
To arrange regular reviews with patients, relatives.14.
To meet professional and legal responsibilities with regard to the storage, handling and administration of drugs.15.
To ensure the protection and safety of patients at all times, which requires conducting regular health and safety checks and checks that the fire alarms systems are always fully functional.16.
To personally have a full understanding and working knowledge of Optimise Healthcare Group policies and procedures and ensure that all these policies are applied at all times.17.
Promote a positive patient care orientated environment and you are familiar with the company complaints procedure18.
To remain professionally updated and ensure care in all areas is delivered in line with the latest research to promote evidence based practice.19.
To liaise effectively with Head Office Departments, building good working relationships, as required for the good operation of the clinic.20.
To ensure the security and confidentiality of records and information relating to the service.21.
To establish and maintain good relationships with relatives and friends of the patient, purchases, referring agencies, the local community and any other parties with whom Optimise Healthcare has dealings.22.
To report within 24 hours of its occurrence any serious incident which affects the wellbeing of the patient to the Registration Authority and other relevant bodies.23.
To inform the Registration Authority of all deaths within 24 hours, and other relevant notifications that must be made to either CQC or funding bodies.24.
To welcome and be courteous to all visitors to the clinic at all times.25.
As required to attend meetings with Directors/Registered Manager to discuss the overall management of the clinic.26.
Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young persons / vulnerable adults in your care and those who you encounter.27.
Undertake level 3 safeguarding training in adults and children28.
Participate in clinical supervision and discuss any safeguarding concerns29.
Report any safeguarding concerns to your line manager and appropriate local authority.30.
Act as the patients advocate, especially where there is lack of mental capacity, following procedures for Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty 2007 Person Specification Qualifications Essential BSc (Mental Health Nursing) Non-Medical Prescriber (Level 7) Desirable Further training in ADHD/ASD Experience Essential 1 year post qualification experience Desirable Experience of working with ADHD/ASD
