What does this Nuclear Safety Group opportunity offer you?
Joining EDF's Nuclear Safety Group Placements means become key support for our Nuclear Safety Team.
You'll be an integral part of daily operations, contributing towards safety reactor operation and compliance with our safety cases which is a key part of nuclear site license compliance.
You'll be based at one of the Heysham Power Stations, where you'll have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues focusing on safe reliable generation.
On the scheme, you'll have the chance to learn through hands-on experience under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced colleagues.

Training, development, and support for you  Over this 12-month programme, most of what you learn will be on the job, with support from your mentor and the teams you work in.
You'll have the opportunity to apply your academic training to genuine problems that are faced in the energy industry.

Your work location  You'll be based on site at one of the Heysham Power Stations, within the Nuclear Safety Group.
Who you are We are looking for candidates who are on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field (maths, physics, other science/engineering related).
You should possess strong technical and analytical skills, along with a genuine desire to learn and develop new capabilities.
A questioning attitude, good teamwork, and effective communication skills are also essential qualities we seek.
