You could be a part of the exciting and enthusiastic team of individuals that are the driving force behind delivering exceptional horse racing events.
Working in one of these customer-facing roles, you will be involved in the delivery and sales of our delicious range of food and drink to our racecourse guests, balancing efficiency with product knowledge and ensuring customers are greeted with a smile.
You will be working effectively alongside chefs, managers, and other employees of Newbury Racecourse to ensure a smooth delivery of service, to our guests.
We have some important racing throughout the year to choose from, along with Corporate Events.
Please see below for the 2024 Newbury race days across the year: January 2024 17th, 23rd January February 2024 10th February March 2024 1st, 2nd, 22nd, 23rd March April 2024 19th, 20th April May 2024 17th, 18th May June 2024 13th, 25th June July 2024 4th, 11th, 19th, 20th, 25th July August 2024 16th, 17th, 29th August September 2024 5th, 20th, 21st September October 2024 25th, 26th October November 2024 29th, 30th November December 2024 18th, 28th December Responsibilities: Be able to prepare speciality drinks orders (latte, mocha, flat white, etc.)
using a professional barista machine Cleaning and sanities work utensils and equipment Stock rotation and replenishment Develop an understanding of the product range available (drinks items, dietary needs, menu knowledge) Managing and taking card payments Requirements: Confidence and compassion when interacting with customers and colleagues Excellent teamworking skills Effective time management Working in a fast paced environment A driven and dependable approach to work Attention to detail Upbeat, welcoming cheerful personality The ability to remain calm during high-volume periods Previous experience needed Must be over the age of 18 CV required for application Living in the Newbury area Why work with us?
