Job summary In Kent we are proud to be at the forefront of integrated multi-agency work with neurodivergent children and their families.
We arelaunching our new Neurodiversity pathway, this brings together experts from a range of fields to provide universal and targetedinformation, advice and are frequently told that early identification of neurodevelopmental differences and robust planning can significantly improve achild's outcomes.
Parents and practitioners have often felt frustrated by the current complex system of support, assessment andintervention.
Delivering a range of information, advice and guidance, you will be central to improving the way in which we supportchildren, families and practitioners to navigate the many challenges and successes of being neurodivergent.Maidstone is the first area in the county to be selected for the new pathway roll-out, following a successful pilot in Tunbridge Wells.
Intime it will be introduced in all mainstream schools in Kent and Medway.
Main duties of the job Our Support Practitioners will: Deliver training and resources to support a more inclusive and adaptive school environment that celebrates neurodiversity through use of a tool that enables identification of individual needs.Work in partnership with schools to provide additional support and guidanceCarry a caseload of families and work with key agencies (such as PCN Navigators) to ensure families are able to access the support that meets their needs About us Rated 'outstanding' by the CQC, we've got a passion for delivering high standards of patient care and excellent services to improve the health of our communities.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Relevant degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at Level 6 or relevant experience.
Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice ( - clinical/counselling/psychology, CBT, DBT or family interventions, Neurodiversity/Autism) Management or supervisory qualification / programme of study Desirable PRINCE 2 or equiv.
project management training PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education Management or supervisory qualification or experience of study Working towards Master level study Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of practice Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads Supporting others (mentor / educator / supervisor) experience Desirable Experience of leading and managing teams Knowledge Essential Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance to relevant to care setting and its application across health care services Evidence of continued relevant professional development and implementation in practice within the last 12 months Skills and abilities Essential Understanding of training needs in relation to post Ability to manage time effectively, priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to work effectively with a variety of people at all organisational levels across different sectors including areas of social deprivation Ability to communicate complex, sensitive information to individuals and groups Personal attributes Essential Ability to motivate and organise others to ensure best practice.
