The National Account Manager will work within the EMEA Sales team to manage and grow our key European accounts across bricks and mortar and ecommerce.
This role will focus on strengthening relationships, driving sales and ensuring the delivery of strategic growth plans in Europe.
Reporting into the Senior National Account Manager, this role would also work cross functionally with our Operations, Brand, Finance and Product teams to ensure all aspects of the sales accounts are managed to a high level.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Account Management: Act as the main point of contact for key accounts across Europe.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth and meet revenue targets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals, and that INKEY is front of mind for our retailers for all available opportunities.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within our major retail partners.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Manage sales forecasts and budgets for each account, ensuring accurate demand planning and financial reporting.
Performance Tracking: Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales performance, market share and account sell through.
Promotional Planning: Work closely with Trade Marketing team to develop tailored promotional plans that align with retail partners' strategies and seasonal trends.
Negotiation & Agreements: Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring optimal terms of trade and contract renewals.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams (e.g., trade marketing, demand planning, operations, finance, sales) to ensure seamless execution of account strategies and optimize product availability.
Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity and consumer insights in the beauty industry, specifically within Europe.
New Product Launches: Lead the execution of new product launches, ensuring alignment with account specific requirements and timelines.
Key skills and experience: Experience: 5+ Years of proven experience in national / key account management, specifically within the beauty / cosmetics or personal care sectors.
Retail Expertise: Direct experience working with Sephora EU, Douglas or similar key beauty partners is essential.
Sales Acumen: Strong track record of achieving sales targets, growing market share and driving profitability through key accounts.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favourable terms in commercial agreements.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse sales data, market trends and consumer behaviour to make data-driven decisions Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with the nuances of working across multiple European markets, and the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; additional European languages (e.g., French, German) are a plus Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Familiarity with digital retail platforms and e-commerce sales within beauty channels.
An understanding of supply chain dynamics within the beauty or FMCG sectors.
